Walk away with your Unique Selling Proposition (USP). We will craft your USP so you present yourself to the industry in ways that make you stand out—resume, interviews, site, LinkedIn posts, in-person conversations. After the cohort, you’ll have your own personal “elevator pitch” on how you are uniquely qualified for roles and can define a USP-fueled career path forward.

You will develop Interview Cheat Sheets. The interview process can be a slog and incredibly challenging. The secret is that there is a tried and true playbook and a disciplined approach to preparation. We will work on a custom “cheat sheet” to have your insight-filled answers prepared for their questions to best unlock the job. We will also work on crafting a list of questions and signals to pull from hiring managers to see if the job will be right for you and what you are seeking.

You will learn the Art of Negotiation. Once the offer/promotion is in your hands, how do you know how to negotiate for what you deserve while not losing the opportunity? We will outline techniques and context to leverage when you’re working on landing the job. You’d be amazed by how much value people leave on the table because they don’t have the context or courage to negotiate.

It’s important to “Industry level-up” your resume/site/portfolio/story. We will spend time on how you define yourself and showcase your work to the Industry in a way that feels like your own voice and POV but on par with the jobs being offered. There is a discipline in transforming work and impact that feels like “student work”
into work that can unlock the best doors into the industry.

We all need a push to get out and meet humans in the Industry. It’s very easy to get trapped into applying online and feeling like you’re moving forward, only to realize it’s like running in quicksand. We will work together each week to ensure that each of us is getting out into Industry events, offices, and spaces where we can make human connections that will lead to openings and opportunities. Learn where, when, and how to meet the people who have the keys to unlock opportunities for you.

The process can be arduous, whether you’re looking for a job or if you’re in a job/internship looking to drive meaningful impact or a job/promotion. You don’t have to navigate it solo. For 5 weeks, we will work together as a small group to make ourselves stronger by matching our unique talents and experiences to the jobs and opportunities we want.
What is a Career-launch Cohort? It’s a 5-week long deep-dive experience that meets for 90 min each week (after school hours to make it easy). It’s a combination of personal 1:1 time (2 sessions) and 5 group sessions that go through 5 phases to prepare you for your career launch. We work together to ensure you focus on all the things you need to launch yourself into your career.

I hate the idea of seeing people miss opportunities that could be career-launching or transformational. I made many mistakes in my opening steps and I’m passionate about ensuring others can learn from the lessons I absorbed as I entered the Industry and the years of insights I gained from hiring 100+ people into the Industry and helping them get in, stay in, and thrive in their roles.
